Walter "Gus" Floriani, Jr. age 64 , passed away on March 2, 2020 in Knoxville, TN. He was born in October 5, 1955 in Seacaucus, New Jersey to the late Walter and Evelyn Floriani.
Walter was a lifelong entrepreneur, known in the embroidery industry as the "Guru" of Digitizing. He was an educator and an author. Walter was known worldwide as an icon in the Home Embroidery Industry. He was also known for his gregarious nature and sense of humor. Walter was an experienced chef, a beloved teacher, and an inspirational speaker. Above all, Walter loved his children.
Walter will long be remembered by his loving wife, Valerie Strahm Floriani, daughters Lorelei Strahm and Scarlett Floriani of Oak Ridge, TN Dawn (Greg) Robinson of California; his grandchildren Tyler, Willow, and Dylan Robinson; sisters Evelyn and Maryanne Floriani of California, Linda Steinline of Las Vegas, Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial service for Walter Floriani will be held at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home in Oak Ridge, Tn. Receiving of Friends will be from Wednesday March 18, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
