January 8, 1960 — January 5, 2014
Terri Lynn Cornett, age 53, passed away peacefully and quietly at Golden Living Nursing Home Sunday January 5, 2014.
She was born January 8, 1960 in Oak Ridge, TN and continued to be a lifelong resident. Terri worked for the State of Tennessee as an administrated assistant for the Department of Children's Services. She was an avid lover of animals and greatly enjoyed sports, including years of playing softball for local church leagues.
Terri was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Cornett and both maternal and paternal grandparents Rufus and Deloris Cornett and George and Gertrude Ogle.
Remaining to cherish her memories are her father, Harold F. Cornett and mother Patricia J. Cornett both of Oak Ridge, a sister Robin Cornett also of Oak Ridge, and many loving relatives and friends.
Receiving of friends will be Thursday January 9, 6:00 to 8:00pm at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with a service to follow officiated by Martin Fisher.
Anyone wishing to make a charitable donation in lieu of flowers please do so at the local animal shelter or animal protection agency of your choice.
