Ronald Eugene Dickens

July 10,1939 - October 17, 2025

Ron was born to Howard and Nell Dickens in Lebanon, Tennessee. His family moved to Oak Ridge in 1943. He graduated Oak Ridge high school in 1957. After high school he worked at A&P grocery store Oak Ridge until they closed. Ron then opened his own company where he framed many homes in the greater Knoxville area. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

 He is proceeded in death by his parents along with his brother Joe Dickens; Sister Ilo Dickens;  granddaughter; Rachael Chaney Young; 1st wife Mable Yarber. He survived by his loving wife of 44 years Jeannie Dickens, his daughter, LaRhonda Sherwood and Steve, son Troy Dickens and Sherry Daughter Alicia Cooper. Grandchildren, Martina, Needham, Courtney Dickens, Crystal Justice and Jeremiah, Valerie Harrell and Callen, Megan Cooper and Heather Cooper great grandkids Ethan Chaney and Alexis, Lathan Chaney and Bella, Eliza Needham ,Oakley Needham, Silas Young and Bishop Young , sora Dickens, Josie, Isaac and James, Olivia Dickens, Peyton Dickens Graham Harrell great great grandchildren, Carter Chaney and Layla Chaney. Ron’s North Carolina family the family of John F Green. The graveside service will be held in Boone, North Carolina, October 19, 2025.
