Robert Daniel Smith (Danny), age 70, passed away peacefully, at Beverly Park Place Skilled Nursing Facility in Knoxville on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
He suffered from Parkinson's Disease for many years. He was born on April 1, 1948. He always used to pull April fools jokes on us!
He was a 1965 graduate of Oak Ridge High School, and held bachelor and graduate degrees in engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He was a kind, gentle, and giving Christian who always seemed to have a smile.
He is survived by his brothers, David Dupont Smith (of North Carolina) and Donald Dupont Smith (of Knoxville).
