Robert Michael (Mike) Slone

(October 19, 1950 – April 22, 2026)

Robert Michael (Mike) Slone of Clinton, Anderson County, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, while in the care of the University of Tennessee hospital. Mike was 75 years young. He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Donald Slone, his mother Barbara Dee “Susie” Slone and brother Jeffrey Norman Slone.

He is survived by his brothers, Timothy Kevin (wife Kimberly) and Patrick Donald (adopted family Carmen, Luke, Brett and Morgan), Jeff’s surviving widow Sam, nephews Thomas Brewer (wife Cecelia) Bryan and Matthew (wife Jessica), nieces Kacy (husband Andy), Sarah (husband Chris) and great nephews Zavier Matthew, Tyron Ezra, Hunter, Rory, Kyle, Karl and great nieces Gabriella Reece and Aurora.

He was born in Benham, Kentucky. He was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma St. University, with degree in English. He was a Nuclear Industry recruiter. Mike loved golf and was a huge fan of University of Kentucky sports and the St. Louis Cardinals. Mike always had quip or something that would make you laugh. He will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held with family and friends and announced soon. Donations can be made to your local Shriner's foundation.
