Rickey ‘Rick’ Allan Kindle

Rickey “Rick” Allan Kindle, 73, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 23rd, 2025 in Oak Ridge, TN after battling health challenges with Parkinson’s disease. Born in Kingsport, TN in 1951, Rick was a follower of Christ, loving son, brother, husband, father, stepfather, Pappaw and friend. He was a die-hard Vols fan and possessed a unique love for music spanning many genres. Despite the health challenges Rick faced in his later years, he never lost his ability to make others laugh with incredible wit.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Kindle, who passed away in March 2024, his parents, JW and Nadine Kindle, and his sister, Sharon Starnes. He leaves behind one son, Brent Kindle (Atlanta, GA), one daughter, Brooke Stephens (Lake Panasoffkee, FL) and two stepchildren, Derek and Brandon Guy (Oak Ridge). Rick also leaves behind multiple grandchildren including Davis, Tyler, Jackson, Madeline, Savannah, Vayden, Abby, Gavin, Asa, Gage and Cam along with other close family members, childhood friends and former co-workers.

A celebration of life will occur at Mott-McKamey Funeral Home at a time to be announced later.
