Rabble Martin

Rabble Aretta Cole Martin went home to be with the Lord November 09, 2016 with her loved ones. She was born September 13, 1927 to Herbert and Etta Evans Cole of Shuler Creek NC in Cherokee County. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bessie and her beloved husband of 58 years Grover Cleveland "Jack" Martin. They served the Lord so faithfully all their lives, they had a happy marriage blessed by God. They provided a happy loving home for their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We were blessed to have them as our family. Also preceded in death by grandson Michael Jeffery Morse, great grand daughter Lindsey Michelle McAmis, 3 half sisters Bernice, Louise and Jean and half brother Lenore Cole. Survived by two daughters Susan and husband Larry Carter, who she loved like a son. Linda Morse of Valdese, NC, three grand daughters Michelle Tapp, Stephanie Martin and Courtney Morse McGimsey, five great grand daughters Rachael Cole McAmi, Sierria Cates, Madison Tapp, Cheyenne Tapp, Magnolia Morse and great grand son Olivier Franks McGrimsy, half sister Rosa Brannon, two half brothers Hoyt Cole and Danny Cole. She enjoyed working in the yard, gardening and her family. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses on the 3rd floor of Methodist Medical Center, Covenant Hospice, Chaplin Tom Rayford and Dr. Ann Carter who provided such excellent care. Grave side services will be held 12:00PM November 11,2016 at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Chaplin Tom Rayford officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Michael Jeffery Scholarship fund at Waldensian Presbyterian Church 109 Main St. East Valdese, NC 28690
