Perry Burnette

Perry Frank Burnette of Knoxville is in the care of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Perry passed away March 21, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Burnette was born April 14, 1956 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Billy Frank and Shirley Hutchens Burnette.
A graduate of Oak Ridge High School and a graduate of Cumberland County Vocational School with a Carpentry / Masonry Degree. He later attended classes qualifying him as a Master Builder. He was self-employed as a Builder / Contractor. Perry was a charter member of High Places Community Church, assistant Scout Master of Troop 555 and coach for Karns Little League Baseball. Perry also enjoyed gardening and growing a wide variety of exotic hot peppers, the hotter the better, and known for his pork BBQ, which he supplied to the youth at High Places Community Church at their summer camp.

Perry was preceded in death by his father Bill Burnette, stepfather John Newby, brother-in-law David Cowser, grandparents Barnie and E.O. Hutchens, Carrie and Tom Burnette.
Mr. Burnette is survived by his wife; Nancy Hale Burnette, mother Shirley Newby Ashe, step-father Charlie Ashe, daughters; Emily Underwood Binger and husband Tracy of Oliver Springs, Alexandra Inman and husband Anthony of Knoxville, sons; Dylan Underwood and wife Kim of Oak Ridge, Asa Burnette of Knoxville, sisters; Linda Cowser of Las Vegas NV, Dee Dee Turnage and husband Gordon of Knoxville, nephews and niece; Matthew Cowser of Las Vegas, NV, Alyssa Giannotti and husband Joe of Tampa, FL, John Travis Turnage and fiancé Jaryn Davis of Chattanooga. Grandchildren: Trenton Binger, Ryder Binger, Delaney Binger, Blake Fowler, Carson Inman, Ella Rose Inman.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-7pm March 31 at High Places Community Church in the Grove Center, Oak Ridge. Memorial service will follow at 7pm with Rev. David Allred officiating
