Obituary for Michael Earl Blackmon
Michael Earl Blackmon of Nashville, TN passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1st, 2020, surrounded by family. He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 2nd, 1951, but lived most of his life in Florida and Tennessee. He spent most of his career in the car business and loved helping people. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, taking care of his basset hounds, playing chess, taking boat rides and traveling. He loved visiting US National Parks, especially the Great Smoky Mountains. He is preceded in death by his father James Thomas Blackmon and brother Joseph Peter Blackmon. He is survived by his mother, Mary Alexa Blackmon, his wife Debra Blackmon and his daughters Rachel Alexander and Ashley Sarb, their husbands Jeff Alexander and Matthew Sarb, and his six grandchildren, Ronan, Ella, Alexa, Everett, Rosalie and Harrison. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Brentwood United Methodist Church in Haney Hall with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m in the Memorial Chapel. The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to Friends of the Smokies- https://friendsofthesmokies.org/
