Mary Thompson

Mary Lou Thompson age 76, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, August 2, 2015. She was born May 5, 1939, in Knoxville, Tn., the daughter of Brice Edward Lee . and Love Katherine Lee. Her husband Geroge R. Thompson, parents, two brothers Paul and Joe Lee, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Thompson of Oak Ridge and numerous cousins , nieces and nephews

Mary Lou was a private duty nurse and had a long career in nursing , She enjoyed music, swimming and houseplants. Mary Lou loved Elvis Presley music and was of the Baptist faith

Cremation was by Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home, and a private burial will be held at a later date. A public visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, Aug. 4 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home in Oak Ridge at 5:30 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 pm. with Jeff and Joe Lee officiating. In lieu of flowers, Robert's family asks for donations the oak Ridge Animal Shelter 395 Belgrade Rd. Oak Ridge, Tn. 37830.
