Mary Krushenski

June 24, 1924 — February 10, 2017

Mary Nagy Krushenski age 92 of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully at NHC Oak Ridge on Friday February 10, 2017. She was a devout member of St. Mary's Catholic Church
During WWII Mary worked at Eastern Aircraft/ General Motors Defense Factory in Linden, NJ, where she sewed the wings on fighter planes. Her talents as a seamstress later transferred to work at the Princeton Shirt Factory in Perth Amboy, NJ, From which she retired.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond, who died on February 10, 1977 exactly forty years before her. She was also preceded by her parents Joseph and Elizabeth Nagy and brothers Joseph and William.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory her son Kenneth (and wife Barbara) of Oak Ridge, her daughter Karen DeZaio (Charlie Pankowski) of Woodbridge, NJ and her sister Margaret Hlavenka of Edison, NJ. She was loved and will be missed by her grandchildren Kevin (Nicole) Krushenski of Nashville, TN, Kurt (Lynne) Krushenski of Manhatten, NYC, Karl Krushenski of Nashville, Danny DeZaio and Kristina Dezaio (Kenny Brady) of Woodbridge, NJ, as well as sister-in-law Arlene, close cousins Barbara and Rosemary, and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their appreciation for the v\comfort and care provided to Mary by the staff and residents of Brookdale Assisted Living, NHC, and Methodist Medical Center. Additionally, the family is grateful for the friendship and love shown to Mary by Margaret Scaife, Jan Hicks, Mary and Don Layton, Rhonda and Gary Kidd, and Andrea Wignall, all of Oak Ridge.
Funeral Mass and services will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Woodbridge, NJ on Friday February 17. Arrangements are being handled by Martin Funeral Home of Oak Ridge and Mitruska Funeral Home of Fords, NJ. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to St. Mary's Catholic Church 327 Vermont Ave. Oak Ridge, TN 37830
