Mary Ruth Hogan, 92, of Oak Ridge, left us with memories of her sincere love on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.
Mary was born in Cheatham County, Tenn., February of 1925. She was loved by many for her wit, congeniality, graciousness and generosity.
Mary worked as a K-25 switchboard operator and later drove a bus for Oak Ridge Schools. She later spent 28 years of retirement in Taylorville, Ill., to return home to her family in 2007.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Toney Lowe Pinson and Sallie Tyree Pinson; sisters, Margaret Ann Pinson, Hester Hewitt, Elizabeth Dunn and Martha Osborne; brothers, Will Pinson, Tyree Pinson and Kenneth Pinson; son, Lyman Edward O'Dell Jr. and daughter, Cynthia Bowden Marshall; spouses, Herbert Leeman Bowden, Lyman Edward O'Dell Sr. and Layton Jones Hogan.
She is survived by her sons, Kerry Lee Bowden, David Joseph O'Dell, Tony Kent O'Dell, Daniel Tyree O'Dell and James Richard O'Dell; grandchildren, Michael Lynn Marshall, Matt Burdick Bainbridge Bowden, Angelique Celeste Dejounet, Brittany Hagan, Josh Stanton, Rory Matthew O'Dell, Wesley Ryan Webb, Danielle Johanna O'Dell, Kaela Brooke O'Dell, Jasmine O'Dell, Trevor Ryan O'Dell and Matteo Roman Bowden Orizaga; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are set for 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home.
