October 16, 1926 — May 10, 2012

Mary Carolyn Holden, age 85, of Oak Ridge passed away Thursday May 10, 2012 at Greenfield Senior Living of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Holden was born October 16, 1926 in Watauga, Tennessee to the late Casper and Pernie Norman. She moved to Oak Ridge in 1944 was a member of the First Christian Church and work for many years as a sales associate in the boy's department of J.C. Penny's. She loved to fish, sew, read, was a good cook, and a beautiful person who was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her husband Paul Holden she is survived by two sons Eddie Holden and his wife Carol of Knoxville and Phil Holden and his wife Rosi of Southaven, Mississippi, daughter Paulette Cahn and her husband Bernie of Cartersville, Georgia, brother Brown Norman and his wife Margie, sister Lillian Lawson and her husband Glen, grandchildren Shannon Wohldmann and her husband Kurt of Scottsdale, Arizona, Erin Adams and her husband Mike of Hawaii, Jason Holden of Southaven, Mississippi, Jessica Holden of Knoxville, Tennessee, Nikolas Holden of Southaven, Mississippi, Brian Cahn and his wife Angie of Cartersville, Georgia, great grandchildren Riley Wohldmann and Nikolas Holden, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday May 14, 2012 2:00pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Fetty officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 to 2:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts be sent to the National Parkinson Foundation Gift Processing Center PO Box 5018 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.
