Mary Frances Broome, age 93 of Oak Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Frances’ family was her life. At age 40, Fran decided to go back to school to pursue her dream of becoming a registered nurse. After completing that she went on to get her bachelor’s degree in business as well, all while raising 7 kids. Some of her most treasured time was spent helping and volunteering at her home church, St. Mary Catholic Church.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Broome; Son, Duff Broome; 5 siblings.

Frances is survived by children, Robert Anthony Broome, Robin Livesay and husband Kim, Mary Phillips, Paul Broome, Anne Coker and husband Jason, Joe Broome and wife Tracey; 15 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren; Frances is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 31st, 2026 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Mott McKamey Funeral Home with the funeral service will follow at 2PM. The graveside service will be held Monday, February 2, 2026 at 2:00pm at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
