Julie Crist

Julie Lynn Crist age 61 of Oak Ridge, TN passed away October 20, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center. She was born November 13, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to Rodney and Nancy Lou Crist. Julie was an active member and supporter of High Places Community Church of Oak Ridge. She is survived by her mother Nancy Crist, brother David Crist and nephews Austin Crist and Ryan Leggo. She is also survived by her loving pets Buddy and Zoe.
Julie graduated from upper Arlington High School in Columbus, Ohio. She earned her fine arts degree from Ohio University and her Master's degree in Criminal Justice at New Mexico State University. She was also the owner and operator of her Graphic Art Company "The Talent Pool". ASfter moving to Tennessee Julie had a long career helping children in state custody and later served as a probation/ parole officer for the state of Tennessee.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday October 25, 2016 from 5-7PM at the Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 7:00PM in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Martin Fischer and Rev. David Allred officiating. followed by a Celebration of Life at 8:00 PM at High Places Community Church in the Grove Center
