Josephine Steele

Josephine Rose Steele. Age 89 passed away Tuesday July 14, 2015.
Mrs. Steele was born December 23, 1925 in Chicago, IL to the late Tony and Josephine Alessi. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and had worked as a sales manager at Samuel's Clothing Store until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family and friends and trips to the casino.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Survived by her son Edward J. Gawrysiak and his wife Pat, grandchildren Stacie, Jennifer, and Joey and his wife Susie, great grandchildren Claire and Emily, niece Dianne and her husband Merv, and nephew Herb and his wife Liz.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church Saturday July 18, 1:00pm with interment following in the Catholic section of Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday July 17, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home.
