Jessie Bennette “Jess” Woodard, age 82 of Clinton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Jess loved to fish, was a devoted member of his church, Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church. Most of all Jess loved spending his time with his family.

Jess was preceded in death by his Parents, Woodrow and Lois Woodard; Brother, Edward Woodard.

Jess is survived by his wife, Carol Woodard; Children, Rodney Woodard and wife Angie, Eric Woodard and wife Stacie, Glen Woodard and wife Keesha, and Kimberly Woodard; Grandchildren, Jessica, Rodney and Chasity, James and Erica, Harlan, KimMiyah and Javon, Kayonnah, Logan, Dawson, Shawn, Brendan, Breana, and Kinsey; Great Grandchildren, Kenadee, Harmony, Melody, Harper, Renee, Eddie, Hannah Grace, Sailah, Saivyn, Aurora, Delilah, and Sebastian; Sister, Carolyn McDade; Jess is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 28th, 2026 from 1-3 PM at Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3 PM with Rev. Luke Kidwell and Rev. Travis Freeman officiating. The graveside service will follow immediately after at Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
