Jesse Larabee

September 14, 1956 — April 5, 2019

Jesse Lynn Larabee age 62 is in the care of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Jesse passed away peacefully at his home April 05, 2019. Jesse was born September 14, 1956 to Willis Larabee and Hazel Webb Crosno. Jesse worked over 30 years in Oak Ridge Security Services for Wackenhut and CNS. Jesse was loved by family and almost everyone that he came in contact with during his lifetime. He was always there for anyone who needed him and was kind to everyone. He never met a stranger and knew most of the people in Oak Ridge in some capacity. He was a regular at Kroger and Wal-Mart where he was always quick with a gentle hello.
Jesse enjoyed his grandchildren most of all, but also enjoyed Oak Ridge High School football where he played for the Wildcats from 1971-1973, and he earned the affectionate nickname "Ole Diamond" for his outstanding efforts on the defensive line. He also enjoyed playing softball, taking cruises with family and friends. He passionately enjoyed playing golf and annually help organize a golf trip to Myrtle Beach
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Larabee and Hazel "Webb" Crosno as well as two siblings, Susan Powers and Jimmy Larabee.
Jesse is survived by his daughter Jessica Larabee of Oak Ridge, three grandchildren Zoe, Xander and Zachary, his sister and husband Wilma and Wayne McMeans, his brother and wife Tracy and Karen Larabee, two aunts Mary Jo Cook and Phyllis Webb, several nieces and nephews who all adored "Uncle Jesse"
The family would also like to recognize two very special friends, Jeff Patty and Sandy King. Jesse loved everyone but these two people were like brother and sister to his and he loved them as such.
Visitation with the family will be 5-7 pm Tuesday April 9, 2019 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 7 pm with the Rev. Larry Helton officiating. Interment will be 11:00 am Wednesday April 10, 2019 at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
