James Turner Sr.

James Jackson Turner Sr. age 87 is in the care of Martin oak Ridge Funeral Home. James passed away July 26, 2018 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Clinton, Tennessee March 24, 1931 to Earl and Helen Turner. A lifelong resident of Oak Ridge and retired from Y-12 James loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl (Sie) and Helen Turner, sisters, Carol, Gail, Mildred and Linda. James is survived by his sons, Jack Turner (Marie) and Frank Turner and the mother of his children Libby Turner. Grandsons, C.J., Jimmy, Michael, Timothy, and Cy. Granddaughter, Cheyenne, Great grandchildren AJ, Taylor, Kaden. And several great nieces and nephews. Jack and Marie would like to extend a special thanks to Tisha Melton who was a wonderful niece that cared for him for several years. Visitation with the family will be Sunday July 29, 2018 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home from 6-7 pm with a service following at 7 PM.
