Gertrude "Trudy" Fisher, 87
Trudy Fisher passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Canterfield of Oak Ridge Retirement Community in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was born May 23, 1929 in Doraville, GA to Lonnie Corbin and Ruby Corbin Brumbelow.
Trudy was a long-time resident of Hull, Georgia and had recently moved to Oak Ridge.
She was a wonderful seamstress, avid reader, and history buff. She also quilted and crotcheted.
Trudy was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Richard L. Fisher, Sr., son Richard L. Fisher, Jr., grandson Stephen Peters, and sister Louise Hughes. Trudy is survived by her daughter Suzan Martz (Naples, FL), son Norman Fisher and his wife Janet (Oak Ridge, TN), daughter Trudy Clower and her husband Rich (Johns Creek, GA). She is also survived by three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Her family misses her terribly, but she's happy and healthy now. For that, they're grateful.
