Gerald Benjamin Calia

Gerald passed away on November 14, 2025, at Methodist Medical Center, he was 79 years old. 

He was a loving husband to his wife Nancy for 54 years, and loving father to the late Kevin Louis. Gerald and his family moved from Michigan to Oak Ridge in 1984. He was a doctor of podiatric medicine in Oak Ridge and Crossville for 35 years. Jerry loved family time, especially watching Kevin play baseball, biking, and skiing.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; Sister, Mary Kenney and fiancée Dan Carlson; Nephew, Jon Kenney and wife Janci and their children, Kevin and Mayli Kenney; Nephew, Christopher Kenney and wife Maleah; Jerry is also survived by his second family of special friends who made the last 25 years of his life bearable.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be make to St. Mary Catholic Church in Oak Ridge, TN. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 at St. Mary Catholic Church with the funeral mass to follow at 11:00.  The graveside service will be on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Oak Ridge Memorial Park where Gerald’s ashes will be buried with his sons Kevin’s ashes in a family plot next to Kevin’s great grandmother, Nancy Borz.
