George Allen Denton, 87, of Knoxville, TN died on Sunday May 31, 2026. He was a member of Coalfield Seventh-Day Adventist Church & Grace SDA. 

He was born on February 19, 1939 in Strawberry Plains, TN. He attended Carter High school. He worked driving a truck for many years & retired at the age of 83. He enjoyed breakfast at Waffle House on Cedar Bluff often. He loved his Strong Black Coffee, Sweet Tea, Sodas & his Chocolate Candy Bars. 

He is preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Charlotte Denton, his parents George F Denton & Laura Underwood Denton, his big sister Katherine Hodges of Knoxville, and his Fraternal Twin sister Allene Reddick of Knoxville. 

He is survived by stepchildren, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

He is also survived by his lovely lady friend of almost 6 years, Sophie Ward of Yonkers, NY. He enjoyed his trips to New York and North Carolina to meet & spend time with her & her family.
