Dorothy B. Currier, age 93, of Knoxville passed away Tuesday January 14, 2014 at the Beverly Park Place Health and Rehab in Knoxville.
Dorothy was born November 25, 1920 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late William K. and Daisy Carman Ballew. She served in the United States Army and worked for many years at the Standard Knitting Mill.
In addition to her parents Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Robert Currier, sister Mary Major, brothers; B.K. Ballew, David Ballew, Fred Porter, and Ed Porter. Dorothy is survived by her niece and nephew Marry Gene and Perry Nipper, and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Thursday January 16, 2014 6:00pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday January 17, 2014 at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the funeral home.
