Donna Trank

Donna Trank, age 74, of Oak Ridge, entered into the loving arms of her savior on April 10th, 2019, at Diversicare of Oak Ridge.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Don and LaRue Jones; mother-in-law Elizabeth Trank; and brother-in-law Richard Greter.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Michael Trank; sisters Linda Greter and Theresa (Don) McKenrick; brothers Gary (Claudette) and Larry (Gayle) Jones and many nieces and nephews.

Donna was a 1964 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. Her compassionate, caring nature led her to a career in nursing, beginning at Oak Ridge Hospital and West Mall Nursing Home. She obtained specialized geriatric certification and spent most of her nursing career at Belcourt Terrace Nursing Home in Nashville, TN. She always loved helping others and had a heart for service.

Donna was very creative and loved flowers. She not only had a green thumb, but a talent for floral arranging and worked for several years with the flower guild at The Church of Our Savior while living in Jacksonville, FL. Donna was also very active in the local food bank ministry in Mandarin. FL.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Diversicare and Avalon Hospice for the care and compassion they gave Donna and her family.

Donna was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Oak Ridge. Her service will be held there on April 27th at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donating to your favorite local charity.
