Donald A. Wilson, 85,died Wednesday May 13, 2015 at his home in Smyrna, TN following a long illness.
Services will be held Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 7931 Mccory Lane, Nashville, TN 37221 with Fr. Fred Detwiller officiating. There will be no visitation.
Don was born April 21, 1930 in Victor, Iowa to Andrew and Mildred Wilson . He was a proud Navy Veteran having served as a Sea bee in the Korean War. He, along with his father and others were the developers of Holiday Lake in Brooklyn, IA, Leisure Lake in Trenton, MO and Glebe Harbor along the shores of the Potomac River in Virginia. In his spare time he loved to play and watch golf.
He is survived by his 5 children, Brad Wilson, Dubuque, IA, Barry (Michelle) Wilson, Merritt Island, FL, Todd (Patty) Wilson, Mt. Juliet, TN, Trudy Oimmy) Schutt, Murfre'esboro, TN and Heidi Wilson, Antioch, TN.6 Grandchildren, Stephanie, Melissa and Justina Wilson, and Cody and Bailey Bush all of Tennessee and Mia Wilson of Florida and many friends, including the Ashley Grove community.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Delores Gunderson of Marengo, IA.
