David Baker

David Paul Baker of Oak Ridge, age 67, ascended peacefully on May 7, 2016, in the arms of his loving wife of 43 years, Helen (Houck), after a brief illness.
SFC Baker was stationed in Vietnam, Germany, and Korea during his 20 years of service. He subsequently earned an Associates degree in paralegalism and was employed by Broadway Title.
David was a selfless humanitarian who gave to numerous individuals and charities while caring for a variety of domestic and wild animals. His favorite pastime was sifting through old coins and repairing guns.
He is survived by 3 of his 8 siblings and numerous relatives scattered throughout the USA.
David will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service officiated by Doug Waldon will be scheduled.
