Daniel Obituary

Daniel Leo Maines, age 57 of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday November 17, 2013 in Oak Ridge.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Virgil Lee Maines, Jr. and Louise Sumner Maines. He was an avid reader and enjoyed boating. Daniel was a member of the Machinist Union here in Oak Ridge and was last employed with United Mold and Tool Company and was formerly employed at Y-12.
Preceded in death by his mother Louise Sumner Maines he is survived by his father Virgil Maines, Jr. of Ohio, sons and daughter-in-laws: Matthew Maines and his wife Vanessa of Greenback, TN, Alex Maines and his wife Carrie of Portland , OR, William Maines of Murfreesboro, brother Virgil Lee Maines, III of Harriman, three grandchildren Ethan, Alexander, and Claire, uncles William Sumner and Donald Sumner, mother of his children Angela Carrelli of Harriman, nephew Zach Maines, niece Megan Silvers, and several other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held Thursday November 21, 2013 7:00pm at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
