Chanie Riddle

Chanie Robert Riddle, 84, of Oak Ridge peacefully passed away to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 at Greenfield Senior Living in Oak Ridge, TN. Mr. Riddle, the son of College Riddle and Myrtle Weaver Riddle was born in Tullahoma, TN on May 4, 1933.
He served in the Army National Guard for eight years. He was a retired machinist from Martin Marietta Energy Systems who enjoyed camping, fishing and woodworking.
As a member of Royce Baptist Church, he previously served as a deacon, Royal Ambassadors (RAs) leader, and Sunday school teacher.
Mr. Riddle is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Cecelia Janette Riddle; sisters, Margaret Gordon of Knoxville, TN and Junita Dardon of Tullahoma, TN.; and special friends Merle and Michelle Keever of Oak Ridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Anderson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 4 - 6 p.m. at Royce Baptist Church. A funeral service officiated by Reverend Mike Harbin will follow at 6 p.m. Interment will be held at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester, TN at 10:30 a.m. CST on Friday, Dec. 1.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Royce Baptist Church Senior Ministries at 131 Lasalle Road, Oak Ridge, TN, 37830.
Gratitude and appreciation is extended to University of Tennessee Hospice care providers and Greenfield Senior Living personnel for their skilled care, love and compassion.
