Caroline Burgess

Caroline (Cari) Nolte Burgess, 51, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Monday morning April 3, 2017, with her husband at her side.
Visitation will be at Saint Mary Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on Wednesday, April 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM concluding with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 6, at Saint Mary Church. Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Oak Ridge. Father Walter Nolte will be presiding, with Father Mark Nolte concelebrating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home.
Cari was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on February 15, 1966, to Al and Catherine Nolte. She completed her undergraduate studies at MTSU and her Dental Hygiene degree at Chattanooga State. Until she retired to battle cancer, Cari managed her husband, Johnny Burgess' dental practice in Oak Ridge. Cari had many talents, some of which were: planner, organizer, decorator, and gourmet cook. Cari also traveled extensively throughout the southeastern U.S. perusing one of her passions, rescuing Golden Doodles. Anyone who knew Cari will tell you that she loved people, the more the merrier. Cari's greatest joy was being in the presence of her family and friends.
Cari is survived by her husband Dr. John (Johnny) Burgess, her children Madison and Jack Nichols, Johnny's children, Ashley and Jarrett Burgess; her siblings, Carla Wagner, Nick Nolte and his wife Peggy, Libby Nolte, Kathy Baumann and her husband Tim, Bob Nolte and his wife Karen, Mike Nolte, Fr. Mark Nolte, Julie Lewis and her husband Mark, Fr. Walter Nolte; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cherished friends, and her beloved Golden Doodles, Willis and Stewie.
Cari is preceded in death by her parents, Al and Catherine Nolte; and her nephew, Jordan Lewis.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Wagner, Christopher and Alex Nolte, Sam Berry, Isaac Lewis, and Ben Baumann.
