Billie Jean Haddix "Nana" 78 of Oak Ridge, Tn passed from this earth to be with our Heavenly Father
May 14, 2014.
She was born February 05, 1936 In Harlan Kentucky to the late Bradley and Ida Perciful. She attended Loyall High School where she was a member of the National Beta Club in 1952 and graduated in 1953. She Graduated from Eastern Ky College with a bachelor degree in education and soon became a schoolteacher. She married the late William H, Haddix on July 22, 1956, she attended nursing school in Knoxville, Tn. and after graduating became a LPN. She was a caring nurse for over 55 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was loved by many other family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband William H. Haddix, sisters Ruth Waller, Laura Smith, Myrtle Smith, amd Peggy Calloway, and by brothers Archie Smith and Jim Smith. Billie is survived by her daughter Lisa and husband Kevin Carter, grandsons Kevin Bradley Carter, Jordan Keith Carter and wife Dana, Sean Gregory Carter and Ashley Edwards. Great grandsons Gavin, Owen, Kanon and Wyatt. As well as a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends "we love you so much Nana" Special friends include June and Ben Bailey, Julia Fisher, OH, Don and Helen Russell
Visitation will be with the family Saturday May 17, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 8pm with Rev. Robbie Leach officiating. Billie will be laid to rest with her husband Sunday May 18, 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Middlesboro Kentucky at 2pm
