Beatrice Brown

January 7, 1926 — July 13, 2016

Beatrice Narie Brown , 90, of Oak Ridge peacefully went home to the Lord on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at Greenfield Senior Living of Oak Ridge. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church of Claxton, Tennessee and formerly of Helenwood Baptist Church of Helenwood, Tennessee. Beatrice was well known for her vibrant personality and beautiful smile.
She was the daughter of the late Elmer Chambers and Polly Lay Chambers of Huntsville, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by Hiram Beck of Claxton, Preston Shoemaker, and William Brown of Oneida. She is also preceded in death by a son, Floyd A. Beck of Oak Ridge, brothers J.D. Chambers and Keith Chambers; sisters HAZEL Goad, Janice Rufty, Faye McGuire, and Jesse Goad.
Mrs. Brown is survived by a daughter, Patricia Wantland and her husband Tom of Knoxville, brother Luther Chambers of Pioneer, Dean Chambers and wife Imogene of Williamsburg, Kentucky grandchildren, Christopher Veler and wife Andrea of Knoxville, Leslie Lane and husband Josh of Knoxville; Tammy Taylor of Chattanooga, Daniel Beck and wife Kiley of Knoxville, Anthony Beck of Texas, Alyssa and Alexis Beck of Oak Ridge, and 15 great grandchildren.
A special thanks goes out to all her caregivers who took excellent care of her and became an extended part of Mrs. Brown's family.
Receiving of friends will be conducted at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home on Saturday July 16, 2016 from 11:00a.m. To 1:00p.m. with funeral services at 1:00 and burial at Woodhaven Cemetery of Claxton, Tennessee immediately following the service. The Rev. Eugene Bond will be officiating the service
