Barbara Sue (Rader) Hamlett, 80, of Claxton, went to be with our Lord on November 2, 2017
She was born November 20, 1936, in Knoxville, TN, to the late Ernest Rader, and the late Frances Lee.
Barbara is a graduate of Oak Ridge High School and a devoted and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an active member of the Red Hatters, and enjoyed theatre, camping, spending time with friends and family, and anything her grandchildren were involved in.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Hamlett; step-father, Howard Lee; sister, Vivian Mimbs; brother, David Rader; and sister-in-law Dottie Rader. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ann Hamlett, of Karns, and Kathy Parton, of Oak Ridge; her grandchildren Austin Parton (wife Callie) of Kailua, HI, and Allison Parton of Maryville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. November 6, 2017 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. The Rev. Clarence Byrd will be officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m. Tuesday November 7, 2017, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Oak Ridge, Tenn
